For more than a decade, AAA and Moffitt Cancer Center have partnered to provide members with quality information and education about the prevention and cure of cancer.
Moffitt Cancer Center
Located in Tampa, Moffitt Cancer Center is one of only 41 National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country and the only Florida-based center to receive this designation which recognizes Moffitt's excellence in research and its contribution to clinical trials, prevention and cancer control. Since 1999, Moffitt has been ranked on the U.S. News & World Report's list of "America's Best Hospitals" in cancer.
As a private, not-for-profit organization, Moffitt devotes more than 2 million square feet to research and patient care. The main location on the campus of the University of South Florida includes a 206-bed hospital with private patient rooms, a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant unit, 14 operating rooms, 14 specialized outpatient clinics with a complete digital imaging center, a state-of-the-art radiation therapy department and infusion center, as well as two research buildings.
Offsite locations include Moffitt Cancer Center Screening and Prevention, which offers cancer screenings, genetic testing and counseling services for high-risk patients, and Moffitt at International Plaza, a 50,000-square-foot outpatient facility near Tampa International Airport.

Each spring, AAA Members and employees have an opportunity to rally around "Miles for Moffitt," an annual walk/run with more than 7,000 participants that raises money for cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Participants make their miles count as they compete in one of several races: the 1-mile Fun Run, 5-K run/walk, 5-mile run/walk, the Run with Raymond Kid's Dash, the wheelchair race and the Ultra 12-hour Endurance Run. Over the years, Miles for Moffitt has raised more than 1-million dollars for cancer research at Moffitt.
