Ashford Castle, a true jewel in the crown of Ireland’s iconic hotels, is proudly owned by the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, Brendan’s sister company under The Travel Corporation family of brands. The iconic Ashford Castle was officially re-opened to the public by Ireland’s Prime Minister, Enda Kenny, and Beatrice Tollman, the President and Founder of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, on April 17, 2015.
The delicate restoration process, led by Mrs. Tollman and her daughter Toni Tollman, was undertaken with deep care for the 800-year-old castle’s history, while adding brand new amenities like a 32-seat movie theater, billiards room, cigar terrace, luxury lakeside cottage, boutique wine cellars for private dining and a children’s game room. The recent restoration has enhanced the 350-acre estate’s outdoor areas and facilities. These improvements include falconry, an equestrian center, clay shooting, golf, tennis, cycling, fishing and water sports on Lough Corrib.
